Decanter 2009 review of Slovenian wines

Decanter magazine's World Wine Awards claims to be world's biggest wine awards with over 10.000 wines reviewed. Their top grades are International Trophy (best), Regional Trophy, Gold, Silver and Bronze medal. "Regional Chair" for Slovenia was Robert Gorjak (in my opinion best slovenian "master of wine"). Another thing that has to be said, winegrowers have to enter the competition to be reviewed, and I suppose some of the more prestigious cellars didn't. Anyway, we got one regional trophy (JURIJ BRUMEC, LAŠKI RIZLING SUHI JAGODNI IZBOR 2006) and three gold medals, all in the cathegory "white sweet" (MARJAN SIMČIČ, LEONARDO 2004; PULLUS LAŠKI RIZLING SLADKO 2008; PRUS, RUMENI MUŠKAT LEDENO 2005). No gold in dry white (but 15 silvers) and "just" five bronzes in reds.
